Are you afraid or worried?

Are you afraid about something today? May be you’re worried about your future-how will I meet my daily needs? What will happen tomorrow? Or may be worried about a serious illness on you or a family member.  Worry, being constantly afraid and anxiousness are one of the many reasons for many illness like high blood pressure, high cholesterol level, diabetes, mental deceases and depression.

Do you know God cares about you and your needs? He does! Jesus said, “Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, neither do they reap, nor gather in to barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single cubit to his life’s span?”. None of us, can we? Jesus said you are much more valuable than the birds of the air. Jesus says do not worry about what will you eat, what will you drink or what will you wear.

I understand, humanly we start worrying, but worry does not help a small inch. On the other hand, constant worry, anxiousness can harm you a lot. Jesus said be not worried or afraid. God want you to be worry free. Why? Because Bible says your heavenly father knows that you need all these things. Bible reminds us in Ephesians 3:20 “God is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think according to His power that works within us”. Think! Did you notice the words used in this verse? – God, able, exceeding, abundantly, beyond all that we ask or even think! Such is the power of God.

Then Jesus said instead of worrying, you first seek His kingdom and His righteousness and all these that you are worried about will be added to you as a side benefit.

Are you worried about health condition and illness? Bible says in Mark 1:32-34 “And when the evening came, after the sun had set, they began bringing to Him all who were ill and those who were demons possess. And the whole city gathered at the door. And He (Jesus Christ) healed many who were ill with various diseases, and cast out many demons; and He was not permitting the demons to speak, because they knew who He was. Even demons and evil beings knew who Jesus was and obeyed and subjugated to Him. Lord Jesus can heal all your sickness. He healed many sick people and demon possessed people. The lepers were healed, blind’s eyes were open, deaf spoke, dead Lazarus was risen, and even the waves and storms obeyed Him. Jesus has power over all kinds of illness, demons and even over nature. They obeyed Him as He spoke -this is all explained in the Gospel of Mark and in other Gospels in the New Testament section of the Bible.

Go ahead and seek God first today and everyday, tell Him all your worries and your heavenly father will meet all your needs as you seek Him first, Bible assures. Bible says in psalms 34:10 “The young lions do lack and suffer hunger, but they who seek the Lord shall not be in want of any good thing”. In fact, do you know “be not afraid” or “fear not” is a repeated phrase in the pages of the Bible. In New Testament part of the Bible during Jesus’s earthly ministry, this was one of his repeated phrase when He encountered people with manifold issues.

Hey, first thing first, don’t you agree? The first priority should be seeking God. In the pages of the Bible, you can encounter the living God! I encourage you to read the Bible every day. And in the person of Jesus Christ, you can encounter the living God! Jesus said in John 12:45 “the one who looks at me is seeing the one who sent me.” Jesus said in another occasion in John 10:30 “I and the Father are one”. Jesus said in John 14: 9 “anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say “show us the Father”? Jesus was answering Phillip’s question “Lord, show us the Father (God) and that will be enough for us”. Jesus said in John 10:30 “I and the Father are one”.

Yes, You must seek God first who is able and willing to take care your daily needs and worries.

Did you take your worries to the Lord Jesus in prayer today? If not, why don’t you pray to Him now? Please be assured He will meet your needs and be not worried, Bible promises. Then wait, watch and experience how God is going to meet the needs. Seek God First! He will fulfill His promise in your personal life.
