Fourth- The Lord crowns you with two crowns- His loving kindness and His tender mercies.
“Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies.” Psalm 103:4 (b).
Loving kindness means tender and benevolent affection. The Hebrew word ‘chesed’ or ‘hesed’ is difficult to translate into English because there is no word equivalent in English. The writers used ‘chesed’ for loving-kindness, mercy, steadfast love and loyal love. Even with all these the full meaning of the Hebrew word cannot really be conveyed.
This is the wonder of God’s unfailing love for the people He chose in Christ even before the foundation of the world. Refer Ephesians 1:4.
The crown of loving kindness on the head assures God’s continuous love and kindness by which He will not let His people go. Remember the parable Jesus said, the prodigal son’s waywardness could not destroy his father’s compassion and loving kindness. It is loyal love, unending, unfailing and unchanging love of God.

Third-protection from pit and destruction.
Psalm 103:4, “Who redeems your life from the pit.”
This benefit is very dear to David because he can remember several times God intervened, protected and guarded his life from king Saul, the Giant Goliath, lion and bear, wild animals while he was taking care of his flocks as a shepherd boy, and several other enemies who really wanted David to be destroyed including his own son Absalom. David reflects God redeemed his life from the pit many times. Pit could mean death, severe sickness that could lead to death or other dangerous places that could cause destruction to his life.
When you think about it, is it not dear to you and me as well? You and I still are alive only due to Lord’s deliverance from death. How many accidents happened in high ways and side roads in the USA every day? Did you ever think why are you still alive?

Second-Healing from all our diseases. Psalm 103:3 (b)
When you think about the healing from our diseases, we remember we all experienced healing from many diseases in the past, right? The specialist and skilled doctors and nurses do all they can when we get sick. But the doctors generally admit the fact that they cannot heal any sick person. They suggest to take this and that medicine and get proper diet and exercises. However, healing is not actually science and there is no guaranty for healing. We can use all latest and expensive medicines and newest medical technologies. But at the end, each time healing must come only from its true source and power- the Lord.

Home – Sweet Home!
It’s very hard for some people to believe that they can get right in their life again. They think it’s too late and convinced in their mind that they have gone too far from God. Serious rebelliousness, addictions or one big mistake they did or a sinful life style. These incidents cause them to think that there is no way out. They feel discouraged, sad and depressed and no hope left in their mind. Their good days will never re-visit, they conclude. No light is seen at the end of the tunnel. It’s still dark and night in their lives. Do you feel this way? Then continue reading.

The Center of Your Life.
Several things can become the center of your life. Friends, hobbies, money, famiy, career and many other things can take the center of your life.
What is the anchor or center of your life?
All the things I described above are good. But none of these things are strong enough to hold you together when life starts breaking apart. Life breaking apart- you may be thinking that it won’t happen to you, right? Believe me, life is going to break apart one time or couple of times in your life time. What you need is an unshakable anchor in your life that will hold you together in these unexpected and tragic hours.

Stuck in the past? You can move forward.
God has a unique plan and purpose laid out for you and for your future. God says in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for calamity, to give you a future and hope.
You may feel like your tree is cut down, destroyed and dead and it will never have signs of growth again. I am here to tell you that is not true. God in heaven is able, powerful and willing to cause growth out of your dead tree. He can bring forth green leaves again. He can grow your seemingly dead tree into a fully grown, green and beautiful one again. God did this in the past many times and He can and will do it for you.
Do you know one of the major problems in moving forward? The hindrance to moving forward in God’s plan and purpose is this – you are somehow dwelling on the past. Many people are somehow stuck in the past events happened to them. You did something you shouldn’t have done or another person hurt you. Or you had a wonderful life, and something happened and you are stuck with that event and it’s very hard to get over it.

Prepared for the inevitable?
Bible says in James 4:14, “Yet you don’t know what your life will be like tomorrow, you are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away”.
Bible reminds us this truth – Life in this earth is short, but life in heaven is long. Bible calls the life of you and me here on earth in these words- a “shadow”, “vapor” and “puff of a smoke”. It informs us the brevity of life here on earth.
