God seeks true worshippers!
“The true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is Spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” John 4:23-24.
Bible says God seeks after true worshippers. If anything that God seeks from people, let me tell you that it is worship. God seeks true worship from you. Bible says in John 4:23, “for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.” Understand there is much false worship in this world. Such worship does not honor or give worth to the living and only God.
The number one truth is this – God seeks worshippers. Second, we must worship God in Spirit and truth. Then it only worships become truthful. I have seen people carrying an idol or image in a carrier on their shoulders and the worshippers follow the idol that is carried by people. Such worship is not based on truth. We must understand God is not a material or physical matter to worship Him as an idol or image. God is Spirit. God is not to be contained in a place. He is not confined to a place. Jesus said, “you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.” In other words, God is not material and not to be confined to a location. Bible says in 2 Chronicles 2:6, “But who is able to build a temple for him, since the heavens, even the highest heavens, cannot contain him?” God is the creator who created all and as the creator, He is outside of all that is created and visible.
You must worship Him in Spirit because He is Spirit. You must worship Him in truth by understanding God is not matter or physical nor confined to a location.
Beloved, I would encourage you to start your life with true worship. If there is one secret to success, I would say it is simply worshiping God in Spirit and truth. As a parent, you must worship God to become a good parent. As a spouse, you must worship God to become a good spouse. As an employee, you must worship God to become a good employee. As a minister, you must worship God to become an effective minister. As a college or school student, you must worship God to become an exemplified student. As a believer, you must worship God to become His hands and feet in this world. The success begins with attributing high worth and worship to God who is Spirit and not confined to a place or location.
By worshiping God in Spirit and truth, you are ascribing true and high worth to God who is the creator, sustainer, provider, and the only savior. The importance of worship is highlighted high in the pages of the Bible that the word form of worship appears hundreds of times. Anyone anywhere can worship God in spirit and truth. Worship God who is Spirit from your inner being (your spirit) and know the truth about God. You see you don’t need to go to a specific place or location. You can worship God right where you are because He is Spirit and not confined to locations. You can worship God as many times as you like.
Psalm 100:2 says, “worship the Lord with gladness.” The reasons for glad worship are also stated there. “The Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. His love endures forever. His faithfulness endured through all generations.”
You see, God proved His unconditional love and everlasting faithfulness by remembering us in our lowest estate and sending His Son, Jesus Christ to die for our sins. It does not matter who you are and how horrible your past condition is. You can freely become God’s child by receiving Jesus as your savior. Then you can truly worship God in Spirit and in truth, by understanding the truth of His love and faithfulness. Father God seeks your worship. That is the only thing described as ‘He seeks’ from you- true worship. It is the right thing to do because He seeks it from you.
Got a moment for today’s prayer? “Father in heaven, I know you are Spirit and earth, heavens or even the highest heavens cannot contain you. I want to offer true worship, you Lord. I understand You gave your Son, Jesus, for my sins and He died and rose again for me. I accept Him as my savior and Lord. May I worship you all the days of my life understanding your unconditional love and never-ending faithfulness? Thank you, Lord. In the name of Christ, I pray. Amen.”
