No matter what, Ultimately you are going to be the winner!
Bible says in Romans 8:28, “God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”

Let us analyze this verse.
God
Causes
All things
to work together for good
To those who love God
To those who are called according to His purpose.
Are you worried because someone betrayed you, walked out of your life, cheated you? Or are you worried because a medical doctor said you have an incurable disease? Or you may be anxious about your children who are not walking in the right way. Maybe they are rebellious toward you and others? Or you may have lost your job. Perhaps you are getting older and you know your body is saying this to you.
Whatever the situation you are facing today, Bible has an answer for you in your unique situation. You may be wandering I was walking with the Lord all these years of my life and why this person betrayed me or why certain things happened to me? Why my children are wandering away in rebellious ways?
Bible assures this fact – God causes all things to work together for good. Stop and think about this statement. An amazing truth you need to hear today. All things to work together for good! Does this means everything really? Does this mean my own failures and weakness? Does this mean bad things already happened in my life? Does this mean my children’s disobedience and rebelliousness? Does this mean by sick condition? Yes, dear one, God goes to work when bad things happen in your life to turn around those bad things ultimately for your good.
Forget about your painful past! Recent past or past past! Your past is always washed away by the blood of Christ if you accepted Christ as your savior. Not based on your works or good deeds. But based on the merit of the cross where Christ died and paid for all your sins and iniquities. You look forward to the future in store for you where God is going to take all the bad things and good things happened to you and make all good for you ultimately.
Who has this privilege of God working out all things (bad and good things happened) ultimately for their good? The second part of the verse gives this answer. It says to those who love God and to those who are called according to His purpose.
Do you love God? God is the King of all earthly Kings, Lord of all Lords, and President of all presidents. Do you love God for what He has already done in your life? Do you have a high appreciation and honor for God in your life? Do you love God because God sent His only begotten son, Christ, to die and pay for your sins and iniquities? Then you love God for sure.
Secondly, are you called according to God’s purpose? How do you know if you are called according to His purpose? God called you according to His eternal purpose if you have accepted Christ as your savior.
Read very slowly this fact in Ephesians 1:3-10.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He (God) chose us in Him (Jesus Christ) before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love, He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. In Him (Jesus Christ) we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace which He lavished on us. In all wisdom and insight He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him with a view to an administration suitable to the fullness of the times, that is, the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth.”
God has an eternal purpose. What is that according to the above Bible verse? To bless you with all spiritual blessings in the heavenly places in and through Jesus Christ! His purpose is to choose you in Christ, to sum up all things in Christ.
If you already became part of this eternal purpose of God (to save you and grant you all heaven and its blessings in and through the person of Jesus Christ), then you know for sure you are called according to God’s eternal purpose. Then you can trust in God’s word that He causes all things to work together for good. Remember, God was behind the life of Joseph. He caused all evil and good things happened in Joseph’s life to work together for good at the end. He did the same in Abraham’s life. God did this in Naomi’s life. Behind all the bitter things happened in Naomi’s life (lost her husband and two sons) was God’s hand and purpose. God wanted Ruth (a foreign idol worshiper) to come to the living God and through her and Boaz’s union to bring a son whose name was Obed through whose line Jesus Christ is born into this world. God’s ways are higher than our ways.
Isaiah 55:8-9 says,
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
God has His hand and eternal purpose behind your seemingly very bad circumstances as well. God causes all things to work together for your good and His glory!
Prayer time: If you never accepted Christ as your savior, this is the precious moment for you to come to God’s family in and through His son, Lord Jesus Christ. Pray with me like this:
“Dear God, I believe you loved me so much that you sent your only begotten son to die for my sins on the cross. I know the only way to God is by the blood of Christ. I believe Christ for my sins, buried and resurrected to forgive my sins and give me eternal life. I accept Christ as my savior today. Thank you for saving me. Amen.
