Name above all names – Name of Jesus Christ!

You can utter any other great name of religious leaders. Do you know?  Nothing happens. But you utter the name of Jesus- you will see and experience  great power and authority  in His  name. Do you know what happened when Jesus was in this world? Jesus invaded and confronted the darkness of this world. To say the least, it was not a really contention at all.

Suddenly when Jesus began His ministry on this earth, something unique happened that never happened before. The demons started manifesting out of many people. Demons started talking from people. Two men who were demon possessed cried out to Jesus.  “We know who you are, the son of God, Have you come to torment us before the day, don’t cast us in to the abyss, Jesus”

Demons said out of a man  like this, “You, Jesus, the Son of the Most High God, I beg you, do not torment me”. Matthew 8:27. Jesus asked him what is your name and he said “Legion” because many demons were entered in to this man. The demons acknowledged Jesus as the Son of the Most High God. Jesus said “come out and they came out”. Jesus said to them “Go and they went”.  He bind them and he loose them. The demons (many demons possess this man)  in that person  begged Jesus not to send them out of the country. They begged Jesus to “Send us to into the swine so that we may enter them.” And Jesus gave them the permission (Mark 5:10-12).  The demons obeyed Jesus and was subordinated to Him, the king of the kingdom of God and light. These encounters continued through out the ministry of Jesus. Every time, for Jesus, it was not a real contest at all. Why? Jesus has the ultimate and sovereign power over the kingdom of darkness and when He loose the bound people, they were free. The demon possessed man, when he became free wanted to stay and go with Jesus the rest of His life. Jesus said to  him, “go home to your people and report them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He had mercy on you”. The man went away and began to proclaim what great things Jesus has done.

Read these encounters of Jesus with demons in the Gospels in the New Testament section of the Bible.

Even devil, the king of the kingdom of darkness acknowledge Jesus as the Son of God. Devil while trying to tempt Jesus away from His mission of saving people said to Him,  “Since you are the Son of God throw yourself down and then devil quoted the Old Testament scripture and said to Jesus,  “He will give His angels Charge concerning you; and on their hands they shall bear you up; let you strike Your foot against a stone”. See Devil knew this passage from the Bible and he also knew and acknowledged Jesus as the Son of God. Devil was not able to deviate Jesus from His mission and all his attempts were failed and Jesus finally said to him “Be Gone, Satan”. The devil left Jesus and angels came and ministered to Jesus (Matthew 4:10-11).

The name of Jesus is so powerful than any name in this world and only He can invade the king of the kingdom of darkness and his demons successfully and bring you out of his influence to the loving kingdom of God and light.

Bible clearly declares to people of this earth that no other name given is given under heaven like the name of Jesus Christ. You say the name of Jesus, the king of the kingdom of light – it brings authority and power and exposes darkness, breaks the bondages and  frees people,  shed light on the dark places and  exposes the truth. Bible says again there is no other name by which people can be saved.

Bible says in Philippian 2:11-12, “that at the name of Jesus every knee should  bow, of those who are in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father”. Verse 5-9 says the reason although Jesus existed in the form of God, he did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but Jesus emptied Himself, taking the form of bond servant, and being made in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance, as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore also God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name”. Jesus willingly came down from heaven and emptied Himself of the glories of God for a short period of time,  to come and live in this world and finally carry our sin and iniquities on his shoulders and died on the cross for your sin and my sin. He fully paid for your sins and iniquities there on the cross with His own blood to redeem the mankind from the power of darkness and to transfer them to God’s kingdom of light. Jesus is the only savior/rescuer of the people and He can save you today.

Please  pray with me today so that you can be delivered today,  “Lord Jesus, I believe you died and risen for my freedom on that cross of Calvary, to save me from my sins and bondages.   Please save me. Amen.
