Rejoice!
“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” Philippians 4:4.
“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” Philippians 4:4.
“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.” (1 Peter 4:8).
Bishop Michael Curry quoted Martin Luther King Jr. in the wedding ceremony of Prince Harry and Megan Markle. I am sure the world noticed him repeating a phrase. “Love has redemptive power”.
Listen to what Martin Luther King, Jr. said,
“Now there is a final reason I think that Jesus says, “Love your enemies.” It is this: that love has within it a redemptive power. And there is a power there that eventually transforms individuals. Just keep being friendly to that person. Just keep loving them, and they can’t stand it too long. Oh, they react in many ways in the beginning. They react with guilt feelings, and sometimes they’ll hate you a little more at that transition period, but just keep loving them. And by the power of your love, they will break down under the load. That’s love, you see. It is redemptive, and this is why Jesus says, love.” (from “Loving Your Enemies”)”. We feel so unworthy when thinking about this type of love, don’t we? Surely, I do. God loved us when we were unworthy, enemies to Him and helpless. (Romans 5:6-8)
Bible says in 1 John 4:8, “God is love.” Love is one of the primary attributes of God. God’s love is redemptive love for sure, and that is why God covered Adam and Eve with the animal skin when they discovered they were naked as a result of their rebelliousness and disobedience to God. Later God’s redemptive love is again revealed beautifully by sending His only begotten son to this sin-bound earth to die for our sins. The love of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is also redemptive love because He gave himself totally and completely for our sins by dying for our sake on the cruel cross.
This trait is opposite and in contrast to the character of the Devil. Jesus said Devil is the liar and murderer from the very beginning. (John 8:44). It is because the devil hated Adam and Eve that he approached them and seduced them to sin against the loving God. He hates Adam’s posterity –all mankind. He hates Adam’s children. One reason He hates us is that God loves us deeply and He made humanity in His own image and provided everything we need for our life, sustenance, and future. Jesus died, buried, and risen again victoriously for our sins, but not for Devil or his demons. Sure, the devil hates us, doesn’t he?
The opposite to love is of course hatred. Bible says in Proverbs 10:12, “Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs.” You see love results in covering a multitude of sins and wrongs. In opposite, hatred results in stirring up conflict and murder. To cover sin means to forgive it. Love and forgiveness go hand in hand. Jesus said from the cross about those who crucified him, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” Forgiving another and thereby covering their wrongs is from God and is divine. Dear one, if you accepted Jesus Christ as your savior, it becomes easy to forgive others because the Holy Spirit of God abides in you. God’s spirit will impart his divine nature of love to you.
When it comes to covering up a multitude of sins, no one can compare with Jesus Christ. He stands alone as a perfect example of this type of love. Our today’s Bible verse asks us to love each other deeply by covering a multitude of sin. It means love regardless, talk only good about others, respect others, do not try to pull others down even if you know they did wrong, and forgive from the heart as Christ forgave our sins by paying with His blood.
Got a minute for today’s prayer? Pray after me.
“Father in heaven, I know you loved me when I was so unworthy to be loved. You gave Jesus Christ for my sins. I believe Jesus died, buried, and rose again for my sins. Help me to love others. Lord, forgive my past and make me a channel of God’s love to others. In the name of Jesus Christ, my savior, I pray. Amen.”
“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well” (Matthew 6:33).
“It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees.” Psalm 119:71.
C.S. Lewis said, “God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: it is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world.” C.S. Lewis had experienced pains that very few would ever go through. In the school of pain, he wrote a book called “The problem of pain.” The above quotation was from this book.
The author of Psalms 119 also talks a lot about afflictions and troubles. Why? He may have experienced so many sufferings that He became skilled in this topic of troubles and sufferings and the results it can produce.
In an ordinary course, people won’t say it was good for them to be afflicted because we don’t like being troubled and afflicted. How can an individual say, “it was good for that I have afflicted?” There is only one way, and that is this – when we understand afflictions is the divine school to know God and experience Him more personally. This is exactly what the writer is talking about. He says in verse 67, “Before I was afflicted, I went astray, but now I obey your word”. You see the connection here. He is saying before the sufferings or troubles, I was going with my agenda in my own paths. I was leading life to fulfill my own desires. I was on my road. Now because of afflictions, I learned to obey your Word. Now I am on His way. You see the troubles and hardships do not take much time. It can appear so quickly and suddenly. Now due to afflictions, he abandoned his own ways and set his mind to walk in His ways and plans -to obey the Word of God. Through afflictions, he understood that God has another far better plan for him.
Do you know, though he allows afflictions, his faithfulness remains stronger in the middle of your troubles? It is then only we learn the character of God and how trustworthy He is. It is through our sufferings and difficulties that we taste the love and power of God. His power truly comes perfect and victorious in our weakness. Paul says in 2 Corinthians 12:9, “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
Throughout history, God’s grace, power, and faithfulness sustained His people during fiery trials. Moreover, they learned God’s decrees and character in and through it. Job said, “I had only heard about you before, but now I have seen you with my own eyes.”
Beloved, got a moment for prayer? Let us pray.” Father in heaven, So far, I was fulfilling my desires and walking on my way. Please forgive me. I turn to you now. I understand you have a perfect plan for me. Lord, help me to obey you and walk in your ways. I surrender my life to you today. I believe Jesus Christ died, buried, and rose again for my sins. Please come to my heart and lead in your perfect ways. I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, my savior. Amen.”
“A man who has friends must himself be friendly,
But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” Proverbs 18:24.
Dale Carnegie said, “You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you.”
Today’s Bible insights say, “A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.”
You see, you should make time for friendship. Then only you will have friends. Friendship does not happen automatically without effort. Kind, supportive, and caring friends are precious in our lives. An unknown quote says, “A friend is someone who understands your past, believes in your future, and accepts you just the way you are.” Real friends recognize, motivate, and encourage you to grow. They do not put you down. They do not stone at you or bruise you. They would never be ashamed of you. A friend is the one who loves and cares for you even though he knows all about you.
Today’s insight says, “there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” Who is this friend that sticks closer than a brother? It is none other than the loving God. However, the question many has is this – how do you make friends with God? Beloved, it is possible to make a close friendship with God. However, you must make time for intimacy with God. When you run around stressed out and spend time on all other stuff and then quickly pray and go to bed, it means you are not intended to make a friendship with God. Like all other human friendship, friendship with God also demand your time. You need to be with the Lord listening to him and talking to Him.
If you want to make a friendship with God, three things are essential.
Number one is your time; number two is you must have high reverence to God, and number three (and this is the most foundational) is Jesus Christ, the mediator who reconciled you to God. Without Jesus Christ, you could never make friends with God.
Bible says in Psalm 25:14, God’s friendship is only for those who keep high reverence for him. Moreover, He reveals all his secrets to them. You see, many people do not honor God, and there is no reverence for him. You will not become a friend of God if you do not highly reverence him. Besides, you would not become a friend of God if you do not spare your time to make a friendship with Him. The conversation is two-fold- you listen to him by being quiet in his presence and by reading/understanding the Bible. Then you talk to him in prayer in the name of Jesus Christ. Prayer time is also an excellent time to listen to God.
After the fall of our first parents- Adam and Eve-fear entered into this world. The reason for fear is a sin against God. People feared God in the old testament except for very few people who enjoyed the friendship of God because they put their faith in the promise of God for a savior. However, all this changed after the coming of Jesus Christ and his death on the cross for your sins. Now you can go to the holy presence of God without fear if you accepted Jesus Christ, the Son of God, as your savior and Lord. Have you accepted Jesus Christ, who paid for your sins with his blood, as your savior? Listen to what the Bible says in Hebrews 10:19-22, “And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain, that is His body, into the Most Holy Place. Moreover, since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.” Jesus opened a new and life-giving way to make friends with God.
You can become a friend of God based on what Jesus Christ did for you. You do not need to be afraid anymore. Jesus reconciled you to the Father God by his death and resurrection. God becomes your friend who sticks closer than your brother.
Got a moment for today’s prayer? “Father in heaven, I want to be your friend. I know I can become your friend in and through your Son, Jesus Christ, who is my savior and Lord. Please make me your friend. I want to spend time in your Word, the Bible. I want to talk to you in prayer. Please save me because Jesus died in my place for my sins. I accept Him as my Lord and savior. In Christ’s name, I pray, Amen.
“For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him;
as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us”. (Psalm 103:11-12).
Do we know how high the heavens are above the earth? Most probably no. Now, I am not a scientist, but I did not hear so far precisely how far the heavens are above the earth.
To find the distance of the heavens above the earth, we should define the word ‘heavens.’ The universe has more than 100 billion galaxies, and each galaxy has definitely more than 100 billions of stars within it. I heard the nearest planet Venus is about 39 million kilometers away when it is in closest proximity. When Venus and earth are aligned farther, the distance is about 261 million kilometers away. I read somewhere that the distance to the end of the solar system could be more than 40 trillion miles. But who knows for sure? Bible assuredly says the power of the word of God created it all. I believe the creator God created this fantastic universe with its beautiful design and systematic order. There is no other logical sense to explain the wonder of the whole world with its excellent design and order.
But the real wonder is this – The same God, the creator of all, says His love for those who honor him is as high as the heavens are above the earth. In short, God loves people with no end who honor and fear him. So what? What is this means?
The very next verse says answers this question -how He proved His love. It says, “as far as the east is from the west, so far he removed our transgressions from us.” This is how you and I know the immeasurable height of God’s love. When it says God has removed our sins from us as far as the east from the west, what does it mean? If you travel east from the west or if you travel west from the east, there is no end. You will continue without any end at all. This is what it means-God placed your sins, iniquities, and transgressions as far away from you that these will never be counted against you. It will never haunt you again, period!
Now how did God do this? God did this by placing all of our sins on Jesus Christ. Bible says, ‘For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin so that we could be made right with God through Christ.” (2nd Corinthians 5:21). Christ’s sacrificial death for our sin and removal of our sins forever is a fulfillment of the day of atonement (Jewish festival called Yom Kippur) described in Leviticus 16. Jesus was God’s sacrificial lamb (Revelation 13:8 and John 1:29)) as the goat slaughtered for the sins of the people. (Leviticus 16: 11-16). Jesus is also the scapegoat that carried the sins of the people away forever. (Leviticus 16:20-22).
Beloved, you can be right with God and enjoy all God has in and through His Son, Jesus Christ. Don’t you love and worship the God who loved you this much? Yes, I do! He placed all your sins on the body of Christ Jesus so that you can get forgiveness and spend eternity in heaven with Him. His love toward you is as high as the heavens are above the earth. May you never doubt the love of God toward you. May your life become a sweet aroma of gratitude and worship to Him every day. How else can you show your reverence to Him?
Beloved, got a moment for today’s prayer? Bible says whoever accepts Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord in prayer, God gave them the right to become the children of God. Pray after me.
“Father in heaven, I believe your love is as high as the heavens are above the earth. Your love is truly beyond my comprehension. I believe your Son, Christ Jesus, carried my sins to the cross, died there in my place, and risen again for my salvation. Thank you for loving me that much. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ.” Amen.
“Lord, I know that people’s lives are not their own;
it is not for them to direct their steps.” Jeremiah 10:23
Lesson #1 in our life is this –God is in control of all including our lives, not us.
Bible says, “our lives are not our own and it is not for us to direct our steps. Bible teaches God’s general providence over the creation and His special providence over His own. God is the God of History. History is ‘His-story’. You and I do not control the affairs, nations and governments do not control affairs, Satan do not control the affairs. God does!
Bible says, “The LORD has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all.” (Psalm 103:19). Prophet Jeremiah fully believed in the providence of God. David believed in the providence of God. Solomon believed in the providence of God. God’s providential hand was upon Moses’s life. Many other faith giants of the Bible clearly understood and believed in the providence of God. Only when we come to terms with this basic spiritual lesson #101, we can rest peacefully in our trials and problems. Jesus said “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father.” (Matthew 10:29). This huge and giant machine called the universe is running effectively with no issues and problems only because of God’s general providence over all of His creation. Earth is spinning all the time on its axis, seasons- spring, summer, fall, winter- comes in their own appointed times because He carefully controls all.
In today’s passage, the Bible says, our lives are not our own. It is not for us to direct our steps. There is God’s providence over all the people. Then there is God’s special providence over His own. Psalm 37:23 says, “The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.” Proverbs 16:9 says, “We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps.”
Child of God, did you come to terms with this basic lesson yet? It is the providence of God that directs your steps every day, every hour, and even every minute of your life. He directs your steps because He is intimately interested in your life and he has a purpose for your life. You are custom-made for His unique purpose.
The Lord decreed David will be the king of Israel. But he had to go through severe trials before God fulfilled His decree. Even in the darkest hours of David’s life, away from the loved ones, in the wilderness, hiding in caves by facing the jealousy of Saul (because Saul knew David is going to get his job one day and he constantly tried to kill him), God was actively involved in His life with His providence. David went down from very famous to nobody, lost all his reputation, his name was slandered all over the city by people, more than that his faith was going to be tested so severely in those dark moments of his life. But David understood the providence of God in his life and this understanding lesson #1 helped him to respond correctly in full submission to Lord on those severe testing times in his life. He found peace, rest, and quietness in the providence of God. God challenged and stretched David to go farther down on the road to use his experiences and words to become words of God (book of psalms) throughout the His story.
Remember, your life is not your own. It is not for you to direct your steps either. Do you know God is moving his providential plans and care even in your darkest moments of life? His providential hand is all over your life and He perfectly knows what He is doing now in your life though it may not make sense to you and He will accomplish His purpose. Full surrender is the key to cooperate with God’s providential supernatural moves.
Beloved, do you have a moment to pray? Let us pray.
“Father in heaven, I know you are the providential and sovereign God who controls all things of this universe. I also believe my life is not my own and I know you direct my steps. Lord, I believe Jesus Christ as my savior who died, buried, and risen again for my sins. I trust in your good and perfect plan for me. I find rest and peace in you today. I surrender my life to your plans and purposes. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.”
“Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.” Romans 12:10 NIV.
You do not have the ability to love others in yourself, especially when they are weak, imperfect, and not likable. That sort of love is possible only when you really understand how much God loves you. God’s love and mercy grant you the freedom to love the unlikable. Nothing else would or could do it.
When God says He loves us, it does not mean we are perfect or even likable. In truth, we are far away from perfection and likability. Bible says in Romans 5 that God loved us when we were powerless, ungodly, enemies, and mere sinners. This description does not provide a good resume for you and me, does it? However, it also says there God demonstrated His love, when we were powerless, ungodly, enemies and sinners, by sending his one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to this world and allowing him to die for us.
You see, a deep understanding of how God loves you makes you free to love and honor others.
Honoring others also would not automatically happen with your own ability and power. If you want to honor others first of all you would need to understand how much God loves you. Secondly, you would need to understand all people around you- neighbors, family members, co-workers-all are made by God in His own image. Genesis 1:27 says, “God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them” In short, according to this verse, when you look at another person, you are looking at the image of God. You cannot dishonor the image of God imprinted in the other person next to you.
Bible says God honored and crowned man by putting everything under his feet and allowing him to subdue and rule over all the creatures and all on his created earth. (Genesis 1:28 and Hebrews 2:7). God honored you with many blessings that you do not deserve. He gave you life, strength, wealth, and met all the needs of your life thus far. This motivates us to honor others, not only they are made in the image of God like you are made but also God made you vice-regent to become fruitful and rule over this earth.
I constantly remember the wise counsel I received from my mentor when I was in a management training program. He said ‘respect is the key to avoid dangers and many pitfalls in life. He also said ‘disrespect is the reason for many hurt and criminal activities’. Respect, ‘respect is the key to success he used to say. Over the years, I learned what he said was indeed true in life.
Beloved, our insight says, “Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.” If you have these two traits by understanding how much God loves you and honors you, then you have a life worth living and God would add abundant blessings to you.
Do not forget –two virtues -love and honor can keep you safe, secure, and richly blessed.
“Father in heaven, I understand you loved and honored me when I was powerless, and a sinner. You showed your love for me by sending your one and only Son, Jesus, to this earth. Jesus died for all of my sins and shortcomings. I accept Jesus as my savior and Lord. Now Lord, please help me to love and honor others whom you gave in my life. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.”
“In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” 1 John 4:10.
Elbert Hubbard said, “A friend is someone who knows all about you and still loves you.”
Did you have occasions in your life when you doubt the love of God? Once a person in the prison when his family visited him said this, “I am even hated by God.” I understand his condition in prison. However, my friend Bible promises God is love. No one is out of the reach of the love, mercy, compassion, and deliverance of God.
No one is unlovable by God.
Our today’s insight says, ” this is love, not that we have loved God but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation (satisfaction) for our sins.”
The famous John 3:16 that people love and keep in their hearts is the words of Jesus Christ Himself. It came from His mouth when He came to this world to die in our place for our sins. What does it say? It says, “For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Wait a minute! Do not read too fast, let the words sink into hearts and minds. Underline it, circle it and make side notes on the margins. This is one of the most loved Bible verses. God So Loved the world means not the ground, earth, animals, or trees because it says “whoever believes” immediately after it. It means God loved people like you and me. It means God So loved the people who live in the world. He loved you and me personally. I am going to place my name there. Then it will read like this, For God so loved Sam Thomas that He gave His one and only Son, that if Sam Thomas believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. Place your name in the place of “whoever” and read again. It will open up the eyes of your heart. Then it says how He proved His love for each one of us. It does not matter if you are in prison or out of jail. It does not matter if you are a criminal, murderer, deceiver, homosexual, drug addict, or drug dealer. Whoever believes in the Son of God, Jesus Christ, shall not perish but have eternal life with God in heaven. The grammar used confirms God already gave eternal life to whoever believes in Jesus Christ because it says ‘have eternal life.’ Present possessive term. It is a done deal. God is not asking you to clean your messes and come to Him. No! He says you come as you are with all the messes and baggage. When you come and believe in Christ Jesus, He will clean and make you a brand new creation with His divine power and presence.
Jesus said in John 3:14-16, “Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.” The comparison is here between the snake that was lifted up on the pole by Moses in the Old Testament. People spoke against God and Moses and severely murmured, and God sent fiery serpents to bit them, and many people died. At that time, people admitted they have sinned by speaking against God and Moses. Then God said to Moses to make a bronze serpent and put it on a pole, and the people who are bitten by the fiery snake, if they look at the bronze serpent on the pole would not die but live. Jesus says the same way the Son of Man must be lifted up on the cross for our sins and then everyone who was bitten by the old serpent and have the poison of sin nature in them will not die if they look at the Son of Man who was lifted up on the cross but may have eternal life.
See the connection here? You see all people have the poison of sin in them from the original sin of Adam and Eve. That poison is passed on to generations after generations. That is why God loved the people and gave His only one Son that we may not perish but have eternal life.
Jesus Himself promised, and it is recorded in John 5:24, “Truly, Truly I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life. Beloved, don’t read so fast. Read it slowly and understand what it promises. It says those who believe God sent Jesus Christ for our salvation possess eternal life already and will not be judged. Whoever believes in Jesus Christ has crossed over from death to life. Do you see the divine truth embedded in these Bible verses?
Our friend in prison said, “even God hats me.” That is not the truth. The truth is God does not hate you. God loves you and wants to save you eternally from destruction and ruin. He wants you to live with Him in heaven after your death here on this earth.
Beloved, God says to you personally that He loves you and as proof of His love toward us, He sent His only one Son, Jesus Christ to be the propitiation (satisfaction), atonement (compensation), or ransom (price paid) for all your sins. He allowed His Son to die in your place for your sins. There was no other way to pay for your sin. No one else could or would do this. If God had not done this, then people could never get forgiveness of their sins and would have spent eternity apart from God in hell. However, now by the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ, you can get forgiveness of all your sins and eternal life in heaven with God. The blood of Christ did it!
Never think God does not love you. He loves you. In love, Lord Jesus is knocking at the door of your heart and asking ‘can I come in? He says if He comes into your heart, He will make you a brand new creation. Old is gone. All become new and fresh. A fresh, divine, and new beginning are what God promises!
Beloved, Got a moment for today’s prayer? “Father in heaven, I believe you loved me. Although I am a sinner and you showed your love by sending your Son, Jesus Christ to die for my sins. I accept Jesus Christ as my savior and Lord today. Please cleanse, make me a brand new person according to your plan and purpose. Please rescue me. I surrender my life to you. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.”
“The faithful love of the LORD never ends!
His mercies never cease.
Great is His faithfulness;
His mercies begin afresh each morning. “ Lamentations 3:22-23
The book of Lamentation pictures the idea of crying, weeping or lamenting over the sad event of God’s severe judgment that happened to the once proud and elegant city of Jerusalem due to their own sins. The author Jeremiah can see only sufferings, destruction, pain, and weepings in the city. God allowed Babylon to capture the city in 586 BC.
The lamentation is the book right after the fall of the city.
The prophet Jeremiah, a man of God, is trying to make sense of all the evil and sufferings the city had experienced because of the invasion of Babylon. Once the pomp and a great city, is deserted now, she became like a widow (1:1), the city became a slave (1:1), no one goes to the appointed festivals, priests groan, young women grieve and in bitter anguish, their enemies became her masters because of her many sins. (verses 4-5), in His wrath over their sins the Lord had swallowed up and torn down their dwellings (2:2) Children collapse in the arms of their mother due to no food and drink (2:12), all who pass their way clap their hands and make scoffing remarks, “is this the city that was called the perfection of beauty, the joy of the whole earth?” (2:15), their enemies open their mouths wide against them and said this is the day we have waited for; we have lived to see it. (2:16), once compassionate mothers have cooked their own children for food (4:10).
The passages in this book remind us of the importance of weeping and bitterly crying over our sins. But more than that the importance of repenting over our sins and turning to the living God.
But just in the midst of the lamentations over sins, painful consequences, and sufferings, in the midst of darkness and hopelessness appears our verse of the day as a beacon of hope and light. We have a Lord who has love (1) that is faithful and (2) never ends. We have a Lord whose mercies never cease. We have a Lord whose faithfulness is great, even in our darkest, most frustrating, and painful hours. The passage also says how often His mercies become fresh for us. His mercies afresh every morning. Dear ones, how often? Each morning! Is that not wonderful comfort to remember? Freshly pressed heavenly juice of His mercy each morning. Yes, that is all I need in my life.
Beloved, His mercies are afresh for you every morning. Instead of waking up with loaded discomforts, anxieties, and worries, why don’t you wake up and claim God’s mercies which are fresh for you each morning? If you turn and seek Him in prayer in the midst of your own sins and failures, He dispatches His afresh new mercies each morning. Zechariah 13 says A fountain to cleanse people from sin and impurity is graciously opened by the LORD God in heaven. The fountain of the shed blood of His Son, Jesus Christ, which is the most powerful, divine detergent to cleanse you thoroughly for the forgiveness and remission of your sins. We can bow down and worship this good Lord for His afresh and new mercies every morning.
Beloved, Got a moment for today’s prayer?
“Father in heaven, I believe your love for me never ends. Your mercies never cease and it is afresh each morning. I bring my sins and failures to you in prayer. Please save and deliver me with your everlasting love and mercies. Thank you and I know the love of Jesus who died, buried, and rose again for my sins. The only love that lasts forever and never ends. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.”
