Bible says in I Timothy 2:5, “For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, the testimony borne at the proper time.”
Interpretation of the passage:
- there is one God
- and only one mediator between God and men
- this only one mediator is Christ Jesus
- He is the only mediator because He gave himself as a ransom for you and me on the cross of Calvary- He has the right to become the mediator
- Jesus also said ” I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father, but through me”. (John 14:6).
- Now If you want to come to God, there is only one way, Christ Jesus
- Now when you pray to God, remember there is only one mediator name to pray, and that name is Christ Jesus
- No other person can take the place of a mediator between you and God. Bible declares only one mediator to God – Christ Jesus.
- Application: When you hear people say there are many ways to God, remember the truth God said in the Bible- Christ is the only mediator between God and men. Come to God in the name of Christ! Pray to God in the name of Jesus Christ!
